Every once in a while, I need to stop and take inventory of the great stuff that’s going on around me. In the last few months, we’ve started a backyard makeover, the trunk of a giant century-old maple tree in front of my house snapped and destroyed part of my garden (and embedded itself in my neighbour’s roof. Eep!). When I thought I lost my phone, I did a rage clean and ended up doing a really great bedroom makeover. I’ve been swimming in the outdoor pool down the street from my house. I’ve been riding my bike. I pulled my tap shoes out of their hiding spot and I’m building a portable practise floor. I’m also struggling, like I do every year, to keep on top of the things growing in my garden. It’s either not enough, or too much. Balance in all things, amirite?
